About Us
Hollywood Arts Committee is a dedicated group of arts enthusiasts in Hollywood Florida. Our team produces creative events and supports the efforts of other creatives. All funds are used for rentals, entertainment, event labor and marketing.
Meet the Founders
Hollywood Arts Committee was co-founded by Dr. Susan Buriak and Joshua Naville in Hollywood Florida in 2023. Our founders have built a stellar reputation for organizing successful free and ticketed events and initiatives that have brought the community together and helped to elevate the profile of the arts in Hollywood.

Colette Mello serves as an adjunct professor, curator, and art administrator at Florida International University, with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and a Master of Fine Arts in Visual Arts: Curatorial Practice. She has curated exhibitions, organized public programming events, and served as Secretary for the Docent Association at the Perez Art Museum Miami. Mello is a member of the Florida Association of Public Art Professionals and Fiber Artists Miami Association.
Tori Arpad-Cotta is an artist known for her site-based practice exploring remote landscapes and forgotten farms. She has been an Artist-in-Residence at AIRIE in Everglades National Park and the Center for Land Use and has received prestigious awards. Arpad-Cotta's work has been featured in exhibitions and publications, and she teaches art at Florida International University, where she also chairs the Art + Art History Department. She is actively involved in the Redland Agricultural District, tending to the land and creating art inspired by landscapes and forgotten places.
Shanti Bruce, Ph.D., is Professor and Chair of the Department of Communication, Media, and the Arts at Nova Southeastern University, overseeing degree programs in various arts disciplines. She is a prolific author with five published books, received international awards for scholarship, and has given over 60 presentations. Bruce has also served on the board of Business for the Arts of Broward for six years.
